Taiwan-Day 1
Note: Manage to squeeze in all the Taiwan pics from Day 1 to 8. Due to overloading of pics, I've spreaded Day 2 pics to month of April, you'll find the rest under the month of May. Apology for the inconvenience! Enjoy Reading! Day 1 Our long-anticipated trip finally came.. Took the very early flight there, $20 gone to the cab but its worth it. Reached! Checked-in to CityInn Plus Hotel! Nicest hotel so far, very cosy and you feel safe. Totally wont feel a slight of uneasiness. The guys' room is nicer w the deco! Our room for 4! The coffee/tea-making and boiler were very much useful to us. Heading out to XiMenDing, excited! Super-tourist shot. MUST-HAVE Very lost on our 1st day, the books & maps were all out! My 1st purchase @ Havaninas store, cheap! All the xiao chi!! Super Happy Eating! Taiwan-Day 3 DAY 3 Another 1st time in my life: Wake up early to see change of guards. Its not like our SG's at Parliament house, which many have not seen like myself. The change of guards at Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall happens every hr from 9am-5pm to maintain their stillness for that hr. *clap clap* Even when they perspire, there are people to help them wipe it off I heard and they have to remain emotionless. A good view of 101 Nth much since we dont want to pay to go up, but the food at their foorcourt was nice and cheap! Chilled @ Starbucks! Long queue at this 'HuJiaoBing' store, not bad! Night market is good to eat eat eat away~~ Time to head back to pack up to go Hualien! We'll miss CityInn Plus. Wednesday, June 01, 2011
Taiwan-Day 4/5
Day 4- HualienBooked a driver to drive us to Hualien and sightsee along the way. The road to Hualien is super dangerous, heard that its the only way and there might be rock erosion, the protective netting that we saw definately wont be sufficient, somemore Hualien always kana earthquake, so people who went up there can only pray it wont happen. Last yr, 2van went down the hill and 1 wasnt found yet, scary shit. Also, their width of road is like our one way and even big trucks travel at lightning speed, I think its irresponsible but that's the way since zillion yrs I guess. Our driver also speed on the narrow road and nv fails to try to overtake big vehicles, its very dangerous, I no like. :( In Hualien, of course there's countless of san san shui shui. Breath-taking. Worth it or not? Mmmm.. Once in a lifetime ok. Mr Brown Castle- Coffee house at the top of the mountain Quite famous for drama-shooting I heard. Went to this place to see the pacific ocean. It was windy w light rain, everyone was cold and the hot potatoes & snacks tasted extremely good! Esp the potato, it was heavenly! I extremely love this shot! Depicts how hungry we are! ^^ Moved on to Yan Zi Dong- My hometown! But not the season, don't know where all my members went, haha.. Ques: Why did swallows always open their mouth when they fly? Ans: The minerals are in the air, so they eat as they fly! Cool shit! So convenience! Next ques: How to differentiate the Male and the Female? Ans: There's always a baby next to a Female & a playing ball with the Male Continue w more San San Shui Shui... That's our driver in grey. Thank him for the extra knowledge. :)) He looks fierce at 1st sight but was actually quite humourous. THIS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU GO HUALIEN. DIE DIE MUST FIND THIS STORE! THE 'CONG YOU BING' IS FREAKING AWESOME! We regret not buying more cus Taipei's not anything like that~ At night, we went to 2 of their night markets and finally... WE FIRE OUR OWN FIREWORKS! Omg, this is like another dream come true, haha.. Super duper fun thou it didnt lasted long. Cant do this in Taipei, only Hualien. :)) We did the individual ones; then one with 12shots. SUPER COOL! If only we can do this @ Marina Barrage! Back to our Minsu, we spotted a mahjong table at the hallway and asked for it! Surely its not one of their facilities but thankfully the owner is nice enough to lend us! We just played 1 round to guo guo ying, we need sufficient sleep for the next day, ha! Oh yes, we stayed in PRINCE MINSU! Recommended! Cosy stay; affordable price; can play mahjong! lol. My room-mates! 4 in a rm is really nice! Taken in the guys room- their's is brighter and nicer~ Our's is more of ethic feel, old Jap style; cosy Good for gamble this Minsu, even got complimentary poker cards! Another reason why is it good: THE CARPET MATCHES OUR FIREND's CLOTHES! HAHA! DAY 5- Back to Taipei Complimentary breakfast @ Queen's! Nice interior & delicious breakfast~ I expected old & rusty train which will rocked you back to Taipei. But their train newer than our's, as in Msia's.. More like MRT train. |
